The characters in Keats’ books come from the community around him. Many of his stories illustrate family life, the simple pleasures and more complex problems, that a child often encounters in his daily routine. Children from all backgrounds can relate to a new brother or sister as told in Peter's Chair. Jennie's Hat  illustrates the excitement of a child waiting for a present, and the anticipation of what the present would look like.  

First, we now have the new LeapPad Tag Readers for you to check out. There are four different sets to choose from for your 3-7 year olds. Featured books include:

If you're a student at the Stow-Munroe Falls High School and you like to read, stop by the school library during your study hall to join our Book Club.  Each study hall group is reading a book and discussing it, plus talking about other books and choosing what we want to read for next time. I bring copies of each month's book to the school for you to read, and you have a whole month to read it. This month we discussed The book Thief by Marcus Zusak, and An Abundance of Katherines by John Green. Next meeting will be Wed.

Winter is coming.  Are you ready for it? December 22 marks the shortest day of the year, and the first official day of winter. It will stay nice and warm in my turtle tank, but it’s cold outside!
