Free One-on-One Help with Kindles, Nooks or Other eReaders

help with ereaders.jpg

Did you know that the library offers free, one-on-one instruction for users of eReaders?

Are you hoping to give (or receive) a Nook, Kindle, Kobo, iPad or iPad mini this holiday season? If you (or your gift-ee) doesn’t know how to use one, what then? We can help!

Library patrons can call (330) 688-3295 ext. 4 to set up a 45 minute appointment for help with their eReader or similar electronic device.

Little Video Players to Watch Wherever You Want

Meet the Playaway View® – a video player you can hold in your hand. We’ve got a number of different shows pre-loaded on these clever little devices that you can take anywhere. They have a speaker built in, and you can also plug in your own headphones to listen in private.

Drive-Up Window Closed

Monday, Sept 17 and Tuesday, Sept 18 the Drive-Up Window will be closed due to construction.

You can see the winning photos here. Winners received ribbons and cash prizes, courtesy of the Friends of the Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library. Thank you to everyone who entered!

It's A New School Year

A public library card is free! It gives students access to the library’s online homework databases for thousands of magazine and journal articles, photos, maps, and other information that supplement the school library’s databases, as well as the library’s young adult fiction and nonfiction collection.

Don’t have Internet at home? Or is your computer, laptop, or printer broken? Students need a library card in good standing (fines below $5) in order to access the library’s free high-speed internet terminals and to print out hard copies for assignments.
