Reading And Writing Festival

Sponsored by the Six District Educational Compact, the Festival takes place at Kent State University in May every year for 7th and 8th grade students from local schools. The 2015 Festival will be held on on May 7, 2015, with featured author Alan Gratz. Students will get to meet the guest author and participate in sessions involving book cover art, drama, poetry, and various writing contests, all pertaining to the Festival Books. See bottom of page for contact info and Festival details.

Mr. Gratz is the author of The League of Seven, Samurai Shortstop, Prisoner B-3087, The Brooklyn Nine: A Novel in Nine Innings, Fantasy Baseball, and two Horatio Wilkes mysteries: Something Rotten and Something Wicked. Visit his website for more information about him: alangratz

Learn more about the authors by clicking on their names below. All of the Festival books are available at the Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library (click on a book cover picture to go to our catalog for each book) and at other local public libraries, as well as at your school library.
