Michael is a lecturer in American History covering slavery, the Civil War, and its reconstruction. He tells the story of Hannibal Hamlin by focusing on Hamlin’s role in American politics over a span of forty years.
As a U.S. Navy SEAL, Lakewood High School graduate, Christopher Mark Heben, has spent time all over the world. During his service from 1996 to 2006, Heben was in, among other places, Europe, the Middle East, Afghanistan and Iraq. Heben also spent time in Pakistan, near where Osama bin Laden was killed in Abbottabad. Take a look inside the military elite as Heben discusses military training and tactics during this eye-opening presentation. Hear how Heben hunted Osama bin Laden and about the SEAL team members who found him.

Join us for an evening with Akron-based alt-rock singer and songwriter Zach and members of his band, The Bright Lights. Zach has made his mark on the music industry by playing with the likes of Chicago, Bad Company, and Bo Diddley. He performs his brand of inspiring folk-pop across the country and will be releasing his 14th CD this summer. The album has a Kings of Leon feel with vocals that mirror Maroon 5.
