Sex Trafficking in Northeast Ohio

Jan Apisa, director of community engagement for the Victim Assistance Program, will join us to discuss human trafficking, from warning signs and indicators to the most current information. Jan Apisa joined the Victim Assistance Program as a Human Trafficking Public Education Specialist in 2014. During this time, she coordinated a three month collaborative, Backpage Research Project of local human trafficking, and in December of 2015, she accepted the nomination to co-chair the SCCAHT Executive Committee.

Perennial Exchange

Join other gardening enthusiasts at our library’s first Perennial Exchange.  We will hold the exchange (weather permitting) in our back parking lot. Check-in begins at 6:30 PM. We welcome as many plants as you would like to share, with the exception of invasive perennials. We recommend bringing a plant flat or box to carry plants during the exchange. You will receive free tickets for the number of plants you bring. A ticket is used for each plant you select at the exchange. During check-in, the plants will be organized on tables according to sun/shade requirements.

Join us for a festive session of jazz on the first Wednesday of the month (June & July excluded). The Community Jazz Band has provided free concerts at our library for the past thirty-six years! All members of the band graciously donate their time and talents entertaining listeners of all ages. No registration necessary. These concerts are held in the Stow-Munroe Falls Room.
