Centerpeace Yoga Studio will lead a yoga class for parents and their toddlers Saturday, June 13 at 10:45 a.m. Register yourself and your child for this class beginning Monday, June 1. Caregivers and their little ones practice together a series of gentle poses and stretches set to stories and music. Learning age-appropriate awareness skills, practicing creative movement, and having fun together create the framework of this joyful, 30-minute family class. Appropriate for caregivers and toddler/pre-school-age children.
Centerpeace Yoga Studio will lead a yoga class for parents and their babies Saturday, June 13 at 10 a.m. Register yourself and your child for this class beginning Monday, June 1. This is a concise, half-hour practice that includes stretching and basic poses for the adults in a fun and playful environment, encouraging participation through positive modeling for the children. Little ones will be held and cradled in many poses, so that both caregivers and little ones can benefit from partnered, meditative movements.
Children ages 6 to 12 can attend a drop-in story session from 2:00-2:30 pm every Wednesday from June 10 to July 15. We will read a variety of books (non-fiction, picture books and maybe excerpts from longer books). No registration required.
Drop-In Crafts are available every Friday during Summer Reading Program from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Sample, directions, & supplies will be on tables in the Award Winners section. Though teen volunteeers are on hand to help younger crafters, parents are welcome to join in too!
