Summer Reading starts today!

Register for the Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library Children’s Summer Reading Program online starting Wednesday, June 1. You can sign up for FREE anywhere you can access the Internet, either on your phone or tablet or at the library. Visit smfpl.beanstack.org and get started. Aside from being able to track your summer reading and earn prizes, you can also receive weekly book recommendations tailored to your child’s age, reading level and ever-changing interests.

Teen Volunteer Applications Due!

Teens who have completed grades 7-12 are required to turn in their signed applications and volunteer opportunity selection form TODAY.

Don't forget, mandatory Teen Orientation is June 1 at 4:15 p.m OR June 4 at 2:00 p.m.  A notary will be there to witness guardian signatures on the required notarized form, for your convenience.

Pet Show

Register pets beginning June 13
Join us for our annual Pet Show Wednesday, June 29 at 7 p.m. Registration required, starting June 13 for children 12 and under (only one pet per child). Any pet outside of a cage is required to show current shot records before the show, which will take place outside in the rear of the library; pets are not permitted inside. Space is limited, so register early! Every pet will be awarded a ribbon, and children will have a chance to vote for their favorite pet. We’ll have raffles too! Spectators are welcome and do not need to register.

Wacky Science Guy, Doug Scheer, is back for a Comedy Magic Show! From television appearances in Toronto to stages in Las Vegas, Doug Scheer has performed hysterical routines in more than 9,000 shows across North America. Forty minutes of wacky jokes, off-the-wall games, insane contests and magical surprises. Help us kick-off this year’s summer reading program with Doug Scheer’s Laugh Factory on Saturday, June 11 at 1:30 or 3 p.m. FREE tickets will be available in the children’s department beginning June 4.
