Meet the author of Bad Day Go Away. Sarah Canter will be signing books and answering questions in the library’s Children’s Department from 10 AM until Noon. Bad Day Go Away is a children’s book that teaches simple stress reduction techniques and mindfulness practices to kids, especially those that are experiencing any negative feelings that may make their day seem bad. The book also includes two extra pages at the end of the story that give specific tips on stress reduction/mindfulness practices.
Ring in the holidays with a special reading of “The Nutcracker” on November 15 at 2 p.m. Ballet Theatre of Ohio sponsors this event, and a mystery character from the ballet will tell the magical tale. As you listen, you will be transported to a Victorian Christmas with Clara and her family, and join her in the dream world of the Kingdom of Sweets.
