Listen to the classic story, Where the Wild Things Are, by Maurice Sendak, plus a few other "wild" stories during this program scheduled for Friday, August 11 at 10:30 a.m. This program will also include a few activities, plus a craft. Geared toward preschool children, but all are welcome to attend. No registration required.

Fidget Spinner Decorating Craft

Come put some bling on your new favorite toy, the fidget spinner.  Bring your own fidget spinner and we will supply stick on decorations for making your spinner look amazing!  Come anytime between 10AM - 2PM to join the fun.

Morning Star Bluegrass

Celebrate Pride in Your Library Day and enjoy an afternoon of energetic, authentic bluegrass performed by Morning Star. The trio will play a mix of Bluegrass, Folk, Country, Gospel, and Americana – which can be enjoyed by young, old, and everyone in between. No registration required. This free program is cosponsored by the Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library and the Friends of the Library.

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

Early school readiness starts before birth. Sharing stories with your child builds vocabulary and creates a homelife that ensures positive attitudes for reading in school. If you read three books a day, you will reach 1,000 books in less than a year!

Taking part in the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten Program at the Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library is as easy as 1-2-3!

1. Any child who has not started kindergarten can sign up at the library.

The Force is strong at the Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library. Join us for a drop-in event on Saturday, August 19, 2017 from 11 AM to 2 PM This event, fun for fans of all ages, includes games, crafts, contests & more! We will have activities geared to adults and teens as well as children. You may even meet a Jedi, a Sith Lord, or more of your favorite characters.  Come in costume for a chance to win prizes!

Join us and cool off with some stories at the Maplewood Pool on Wednesdays, May 31, June 28 and July 26 at 1:45 PM. The Maplewood Pool is a membership-only pool, but if you attend story time, you can play at the pool after story time for free. No registration required.
