Join other libraries around the world in a fun day of gaming at the library! Bring the family (grades K-12) to the library any time between 10am and 4pm to play some classic board games like Sorry, Life, Candyland, and Chutes & Ladders. Learn how to play new games you may not be familiar with, like Settlers of Catan or Labyrinth. Play Magic: The Gathering (bring your own deck), The Great Dalmudi and other fun card games! Play Sequence Dice, Dungeon Dice, Yahtzee & other dice games! A wide variety of games will be available to try out.
Get in the holiday spirit with your young children, Tuesday, December 17th at 10:30am. Join Miss Chris and Mrs. Claus for stories about Santa, songs and a visit from a special jolly guest! We will also have refreshments and a simple holiday craft. Program is geared towards children ages 3-5, but all are welcome. No registration necessary.

Play life-size Candyland between 10am and 2pm. Get a pass and play as a family. Draw cards, follow the path and collect treats. Say hello to King Candy and Queen Frostine as you pass through the Peppermint Forest, Gumdrop Mountain and more! No registration.

Are you crazy about rainbow loom bracelets? Whether you're a "pro" at creating things with your rainbow loom or are just getting started, stop in anytime from 2:00-3:30 p.m. to craft with other rainbow loomers at Spike's Place. Be sure to bring your own loom and rubber bands! Share your techniques and learn new ones from fellow crafters.
No registration is required for this program. Crafters of all ages are welcome but you must bring your own loom & supplies. NOTE: The rubber bands are small and may not be appropriate for small children.
In our Sacred BUGS of Ancient Egypt Program adults and children are welcome to learn about the sacred, mysterious Arthropods found throughout ancient Egyptian society and lore. Beetles, bees, grasshoppers and even scorpions and centipedes all held special meaning and importance to these spiritual and religious people. Did you know that one origin of mummification is thought to have resulted from observations of underground beetle metamorphosis and ‘regeneration’?!

Bring your child to this slightly scary Halloween program for kids in kindergarten through 3rd grade. Set for Saturday, October 26 at 1:30 p.m. Enjoy stories and activities. Kids can wear Halloween costumes! Registration required, beginning Monday, October 14.
You just might get "stuck" on this new craft program! Choose from bright colors and wild patterns to make a wallet then decorate a pizza box to stash your craft supplies.
Duct tape will be provided thanks to the Friends of the Library and a donation of 12 rolls by Duck Brand.
