International Games Day

Join other libraries around the world in a fun day of gaming at the library! Bring the family (grades K-12) to the library any time between 10am and 4pm to play some classic board games like Sorry, Life, Candyland, and Chutes & Ladders. Learn how to play new games you may not be familiar with, like Settlers of Catan or Labyrinth. Play Magic: The Gathering (bring your own deck), The Great Dalmudi and other fun card games! Play Sequence Dice, Dungeon Dice, Yahtzee & other dice games! A wide variety of games will be available to try out.

Santa Stories

Get in the holiday spirit with your young children, Tuesday, December 17th at 10:30am.  Join Miss Chris and Mrs. Claus for stories about Santa, songs and a visit from a special jolly guest!  We will also have refreshments and a simple holiday craft.  Program is geared towards children ages 3-5, but all are welcome.  No registration necessary.

Life-Size Candyland

Play life-size Candyland between 10am and 2pm.  Get a pass and play as a family.  Draw cards, follow the path and collect treats.  Say hello to King Candy and Queen Frostine as you pass through the Peppermint Forest, Gumdrop Mountain and more!  No registration.

Halloween - Little Shivers Program

Slightly scary fun for younger kids

Bring your child to this slightly scary Halloween program for kids in kindergarten through 3rd grade. Set for Saturday, October 26 at 1:30 p.m. Enjoy stories and activities. Kids can wear Halloween costumes! Registration required, beginning Monday, October 14.

Kids iPad Playtime

Drop in to our Kids iPad Playtime on the following Fridays this fall at 10:30 a.m. This informal program will allow children and their parents to use our library iPads, or you can bring your own! Miss Kristin will provide ideas for apps you can download, or show you how to use the apps on our iPads. You can also bring another kind of tablet if you have one, such as the Android or Kindle Fire. Snacks, music and some puppets and other toys will be available to play with as well. Also, get help with downloading library E-Books if you need it.

Holiday Greeting Card Crafts

Inter-Library Quidditch Tournament

Are you a Harry Potter Fan?  Always wanted to try your hand at Quidditch?  Our inter-library Quidditch tournament will take place at the Hudson Library and will last approximately 2 hours.  We will be playing against teams from other area libraries.  Participants may play for another library team to get even numbers of participants.  The rules and game play are based on the game made popular by J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter books with some modifications (since we can't all ride brooms).  Rain Date is August 15th.
