Drop-In Craft for Preschoolers

Preschoolers and their caregivers can "rock it" at Spike's Place making musical instruments. This STEAM-based activity (the SCIENCE of sound, the creativity of ART) takes place from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm or as long as supplies last. Come to the tables near our Caldecott & Newbery Awards section to make "musical instruments" you can take home.

The first day of kindergarten will be here soon, and Spike's Place wants to help your 4 or 5 year old child prepare! Join Miss Nancy and Miss Evie in a room filled with activities that provide practice in Kindergarten readiness skills recommended by the Stow-Munroe Falls City School District and learn some simple ways to continue practicing those skills at home.

No registration is required for this program on Friday, August 10, at 10 AM.

Hop your way through our children's department any time during regular library hours between Monday, March 26 and Saturday, March 31. Collect eggs and say 'hi' to our library friends. When you have finished, you will receive a sweet treat. No registration required, and open to any child under 12 years of age.

Come and celebrate Arbor Day and Spring at the Stow Tree Festival on Saturday, April 28 from 10AM - 12PM at Silver Springs Lodge in Silver Springs Park! Miss Evie will be telling stories and our SMFPL Pop-Up Library will be on hand to check out library materials right at the festival. This free family event also includes crafts, cookies and a tree planting at 11:30AM. We'll see you there!

Libraries Rock! Dance Party

Show off your best moves and bring your family to this party at Spike's Place!

Dance to catchy kid tunes and family-friendly pop music on Saturday, June 2 at 10:30 AM. Miss Nancy will provide balloons, bubbles, and more to make this a rockin' good time!

The program is geared to ages 3-6 but all are welcome. No registration is necessary.

Libraries Rock! Dance Party is sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

Family Sing-Along

Join Miss Amanda on the ukulele for a fun family sing-along of favorite traditional songs from childhood on May 12 at 10:30 AM.  We'll have a great time singing your favorites like "The Wheels on the Bus," "The Hokey Pokey" and "Five Green and Speckled Frogs" along with some new favorites like "Skinnamarink" and "Sleeping Bunnies."  Get ready to move with the whole family in this no registration event.
