Kids in Kindergarten through 2nd grade can join Miss Chris every Monday afternoon from 4:15-5:00pm for a fun-filled program.  We will listen to stories, play games, participate in creative activities and practice i-Pad skills.  No registration is required for this program.  Come to one session or attend them all. 

 

Please note that there will be no program on Monday, March 24, 2014. 

Kids iPad Play Time

Use our Library iPads with your children

Drop in for this play group for children that includes iPads. We have the newest tablet technology available for your children to use as part of this play time. The program, which will take place, in the first floor conference room. We'll have snacks, blocks and puppets available, too. Get recommendations for cool apps from children's librarian Miss Kristin. No registration required.

Rainbow Loom drop-in

Join other Rainbow Loom crafters any time between 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 29 in the Stow-Munroe Falls Meeting Room (in the children's department).  Share your expertise or learn to make new patterns at this drop-in program for children of all ages and their families.

In this session for children ages 3-5 years, Miss Evie will show you how to make snacks yourself based on foods mentioned in favorite stories.   The program runs from 10:00-10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 28. 

Registration is required for this program beginning March 12 either online or by calling the children's department at 330.688.3295 ext. 5.

Please note that we will be using foods that may cause allergic reactions in children with food allergies or sensitivities.

In this session for children ages 6-8 years, Miss Nancy will show you how to make snacks yourself based on foods mentioned in favorite stories.  You'll also practice setting the table, using a knife (plastic, no worries!), and presenting pretty plates of food.  The program runs from 10:30-11:15 a.m. on Wednesday, March 26.

Around the World Scavenger Hunt

Travel around the world without leaving the library! Use library iPads to follow QR code clues and solve all the questions in this scavenger hunt.  All participants will receive prizes!  Taste food, make crafts from around the world, listen to music and hear stories from every continent!!!  Miss Nancy will lead the hunt and answer any questions.

Activity program for kids

Check out some amazing camouflage animals, write secret messages and learn all about secret agents during this ongoing, monthly program for kids.  There will be activities and crafts and games based on cool nonfiction books.

This program is designed for children in 2nd - 6th grade.  Registration is required.
