Join the Teen Winter Reading Challenge! Our library is participating in this challenge with over 100 other libraries around the world. We challenge all teens in grades 6 to 12 to read at least 6 books during the months of January and February, and track those books online using smfpl.beanstack.org.

Harry Potter Fantastic Beasts Art Exhibit Submissions

Drop off your original art no later than 5 PM January 27!

Artists of all ages are encouraged to submit an original work of art depicting one of the magical creatures and fantastic beasts of the Harry Potter universe. Bring entries to the information services desk or the children's department reference desk during the week of January 21, 2018. Deadline for art submissions is Saturday, January 27, 2018 by 5 PM.

Art will be on display during the week of January 28 as we prepare for Harry Potter Book Night on Thursday, February 1 from 6-8 PM.

Spend your holiday break on Boardwalk! You become the hat, the car, or token of your choice, as you play on our room-size playing "board." Roll giant dice and buy properties, land in Jail, do everything as in the regular game but at LIFE SIZE! Sign up with a friend to play on a team of 2 players, or be randomly assigned to a team. Prizes to the winning teams! 12:00  — 1:30 p.m. for 3rd-5th graders or 2:30 — 4:00 p.m.
