Families with kids of all ages come and put your library knowledge to the test with a scavenger hunt. Come anytime during library hours from Saturday, February 16 through Monday, February 18. To participate check in at the children’s circulation desk. Upon completion all children will receive a small prize and families will be entered into a grand prize drawing. Teens are welcome to participate too and will receive a small prize upon completion as well.

Win an autographed book! Write a review of any book you’ve recently read, for a chance to WIN an autographed copy of Libba Bray’s new book, The Diviners. Plus a bonus: winners choose from either a fedora hat or a feathered headband! (Since the book is set in 1926, you'll look jazzy in them!) Teens in grades 6-12! Learn how to do character makeup in this hands-on demonstration: from monsters and zombies to fantasy creatures and other characters. See how to create fake wounds and “old age” makeup. Our 3 makeup experts have theatrical and professional haunted house expertise they’re “dying” to share! All makeup will be provided. Explore the Solar System with Geoffrey Landis.
Geoffrey is both a NASA Scientist and a science-fiction writer. His work with NASA focuses on planetary exploration, interstellar propulsion, solar power and photovoltaics. He holds eight patents and has authored or co-authored more than 300 published scientific papers in the fields of astronautics and photovoltaics.
