Enjoy sounds from the past as locally renowned acoustic guitarist Rick Iacoboni performs instrumental interpretations of the Beatles’ songs. Hear fascinating stories behind the Beatles’ influences in composing the songs, how the songs were written and little known facts about how they were recorded. Registration starts April 23 for this free program.

Love to draw anime and manga?  Show off your stuff in our Anime Art Contest! Students in grades 7 through 12 can enter original, hand-drawn or digitally created artwork relating to anime, manga, video games, original characters or fan art. Win $50 or $30 giftcards to Hobby Lobby for free art supplies! The winning artist will also have their artwork used to promote the library’s Anime Club. All the artwork will be displayed in the library from April 2-13. Entries may be submitted in person at the library between MARCH 17 and MARCH 23.

Are you into roleplaying and trading card games? Would you like to learn how to play? "Shuffle and Roll" is a fun event for teens who want to learn the basics of games like "Dungeons and Dragons" or "Magic the Gathering." You can also play the games you already know and be a dungeon master! You can also bring your friends along to play other games, like "Star Wars RPG" or "Warhammer." Just ask a librarian at the event if you have any questions about other games.

Join us for a Hunger Games Extravaganza! Dress as a Tribute or a Capitol Citizen for a parade of tributes. Train for the arena and earn advantages based on your performance at shooting targets, identifying edible plants, trying knots and more. Feast at the Cornucopia and then battle other tributes to determine the Survivor of the Hunger Games. Open to anyone 12-18. Sign up now, space is limited, as only 24 tributes may enter the arena.
