Community Church News database
The Community Church News (CCN) is a 15-volume bound set of Community Church of Stow newsletters ranging from 1934 to 1948. Each volume has 52 issues containing articles, essays, and tidbits about local people and events during two important time periods in American history – the Great Depression and World War II. The CCN is a cultural spotlight on the daily life of Stow and Munroe Falls residents during the middle of the twentieth century. The original volumes are part of the library’s Local History Collection and are limited to library use only because of their rare and fragile nature.
Thanks to federal funding from an Institute of Museum and Library Services LSTA grant awarded through the State Library of Ohio and local funding from the Friends of the Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library, the Community Church News is now available as an online database.
Thank you to Local Historian & library volunteer, Fred Long, for creating the CCN Index.
