One floor higher and he wouldn’t be here. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear George Sleigh’s story of escape. When American Airlines Flight 11 plowed into World Trade Center One on September 11, 2001, 62-year old naval architect, George Sleigh, was in a north-facing office on the telephone to a colleague, and no one on the floors above him survived. Within two hours, he was scrambling for his very survival, and the Twin Towers were reduced to a pile of rubble.
