“Spark a Reaction” is the theme of the 2014 Adult Summer Reading Program which runs from Monday, June 9 through Saturday, August 9. Nine posters will be on display at the front of the library. Adults and teens in grades 7 to 12 are eligible to play. Each week a set of clues will be posted to help you identify the famous fictional character who is “photo bombing” the scene in one of the posters on display. Enter your guess on the game sheet provided. Drop off your entry at the Information Desk. The more you play the more chances you have to win the grand prize. Sheets with correct answers will be entered in the Grand Prize Drawing for a $50 gift card. All entries are due by Saturday, August 9 and the grand prize drawing will be on Monday, August 11. Adults and teens in grades 7 to 12 can also fill out a form for each book you listen to or read this summer and place it in the box located in the Adult Summer Reading display by the library entrance. Great prizes have been donated from area attractions, including Hale Farm and Village, The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, Porthouse Theatre, Weathervane Theatre, Akron RubberDucks, Cleveland Botanical Gardens, Akron Symphony and more. All prizes courtesy of the Friends of the Library.
