Ready Player OneReady Player One40Teens and adults spent a fun day during Spring Break playing retro videogames on vintage systems like the original Nintendo, SEGA Genesis and N64, and simulations of arcade games such as Joust and Galaga, which tied in to the 1980's theme of the book and movie Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. We also demonstrated a MergeCube and ONN augmented reality headset. Players competed in our QR code scavenger hunt for the chance to win an autographed copy of the book; we also gave away RPO merchandise prizes, courtesy of the Friends of the Library.
