Join Elaine Woloshyn, Executive Director of The International Institute of Akron, as she presents Immigrants of Northeast Ohio. Elaine will reflect on her own family’s immigration story and the stories of immigrants and refugees who are coming to Northeast Ohio today. Who are they, where are they coming from, and what contribution can we expect them to make in building a stronger economy in Northeast Ohio? There will be a Q&A after the presentation. This free program is cosponsored by the Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library and the Friends of the Library.

About the Speaker: Elaine Woloshyn joined The International Institute of Akron in 2012 and has over 30 years of executive experience in local government and nonprofit management. She is a native of Youngstown, a graduate of Thiel College in Greenville, PA and received her Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Syracuse University. Elaine lives in Stow with her husband and a houseful of rescued animals.
