Join us for a special Night of Hollywood Fashion.  Richard John is back, presenting an unparalleled collection of memorabilia from Hollywood’s legendary Phyllis Diller. The exhibition features numerous stage worn and personal wardrobe items including gowns, wigs, shoes, hats, and jewelry.
As a pioneer of comic history, Phyllis Diller has headlined virtually every major supper club in the U.S. and around the world. She wrote her own rapid-fire comedy routines and celebrated 50 years in show business. Phyllis Diller was born on July 17, 1917 in Lima, OH and died on August 20, 2012 at the age of 95. About the Presenter: Richard John has been a collector of celebrity memorabilia from the “Golden Age of Hollywood” for over 30 years. The collection numbering over 900 pieces contains stage, screen worn, and personal wardrobe items of many of Hollywood’s greatest stars. Richard continues his mission of collection, documenting, and preserving Hollywood memorabilia but admits his greatest enjoyment is sharing it with others. He has provided many shows and exhibits for charitable organizations. He is currently the owner of Hood & Hoover Jewelry in Stow, is past president of Kent State University’s “Friends of Fashion”, and has been inducted into Kent Roosevelt High School’s “Hall of Fame”.
