Take art history one step further during this Master Inspired Art Workshop. Art Historian Felicia Stadelman presents an interactive art program in which you will learn about the artist Edgar Degas. Degas is the reluctant artist who had difficulty parting with his work. He said, “Creating artwork is easy when you don’t know how, but very difficult when you do.” His studies in pastel address the movement and position of the human body exploring the physicality and discipline of the dancers through the use of contours and unexpected vantage points. With step by step instruction, we will experiment with delicate chalk pastels in the style of Degas.
Space is limited; please call if you need to cancel. This free program is sponsored by the Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library.
