2017 Teen Read Week Writing Contest Winners

Announcing the winners of our inaugural Teen Read Week Creative Writing Contest for teens! The theme was “Unleash Your Story” and there were two age divisions: 12-14 years old and 15-18 years old. Prizes ($25, $20, $15 cash and blank writing journals) were provided by the Friends of the Library. Congratulations to our winning writers! The winning works of poetry and short fiction are also available for reading in the library’s Teen Area. The contest judges were Kimpton Middle School library media specialist Leslie Haynam and Stow-Munroe Falls High School library media specialist Kelly Lanci.
