Jan Apisa, director of community engagement for the Victim Assistance Program, will join us to discuss human trafficking, from warning signs and indicators to the most current information. Jan Apisa joined the Victim Assistance Program as a Human Trafficking Public Education Specialist in 2014. During this time, she coordinated a three month collaborative, Backpage Research Project of local human trafficking, and in December of 2015, she accepted the nomination to co-chair the SCCAHT Executive Committee. Most recently, she created bylaws for the Summit County Collaborative Against Human Trafficking that were subsequently approved and adopted. This free program is cosponsored by the Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library, the Friends of the Library, and the Victim Assistance Program.
