Video Games

The Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library circulates console videogames in 6 formats for adult, teen and juvenile patrons. The titles include games rated "E for Everyone", "T for Teen," and "M for Mature". LIBRARY USERS UNDER THE AGE OF 18 MUST HAVE A PARENT SIGN A VIDEOGAME PERMISSION FORM IN PERSON AT THE FRONT DESK BEFORE CHECKING OUT THEIR FIRST GAME.

Games check out for TWO WEEKS and the limit is 3 games per library card. Games cannot be renewed. The fine for lost or damaged games is $50.00 per game. Games rated E or E10 are upstairs in Children’s. Games rated T or M are downstairs in the Teen Area.  To borrow a game, find the boxes in the Teen Area or the Children's Dept. that have blue, pink, green, purple, white and yellow cards. Find the card of the game you want. The color of the card indicates the system the game is for:

Pink: Playstation3
Purple: Playstation4
Green: XBox360
White: XBoxOne
Yellow: Wii
Blue: Wii U

Take the game’s card to the front checkout desk (downstairs) with your library card and they will exchange it for the game.  If the card is not in the box, the game is checked out. You may PLACE A HOLD on checked-out games using the catalog, or ask a librarian for help. Then the library will contact you when that game is available for you to borrow.
