Reading Patch Club

Students in grades K-5, who are reading on their own, will earn colorful embroidered patches during the school year.

Children may join the club at any time during the school year.

To earn a patch, readers can read 10 books in each category. Books may be chosen from our Reading Club lists, or on your own.

Patches will be awarded as they are earned. Just bring your reading log into the library when you have completed a category.

• There are a total of 10 patches possible to earn.
• If a child earns all 10 patches, they will receive a book bag.
• Only books read between 9/3/08 and 5/23/09 may be counted. The program will continue in the fall of 2009.
• All books that are read should be on your reading level and books that you have not already read.

All members of the club can write a “review” of books read. Each month we will pick a review to put in our monthly “Spike Times” newsletter.

All members that earn a patch will be recognized by having their names in “Spike Times”.
