Local History: Our Mission

  The mission of the Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library Local History Archives is to preserve the history of the communities of Stow and Munroe Falls, Ohio. Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library will preserve and maintain these materials for future generations using accepted preservation methods, and provide access to the materials under safe and secure conditions. The library will work in conjunction with other Local History entities, such as historical societies and libraries, to educate the public on the holdings of the collection and on the history of Stow and Munroe Falls.

  The Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library’s Local History Collection contains materials pertaining to the local communities of Stow and Munroe Falls. Local History Reference books and news clippings are located in the Local History Center directly behind the Information Desk. Other materials will be retrieved upon request.

  Donations to the Collection are accepted based on the Local History Collection Development Policy.

  The Local History Collection is available during regular library hours. Monday through Thursday 9:00 to 9:00 p.m., Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.
