Stow School Book, District 3

This is a small record book that contains records (not really minutes) of school board meetings and school attendance records for students in Stow School District Number 3, Portage County (now Summit County) Ohio during the period from about 1830 to about 1855. The original book is located in the Local History Room of The Stow-Munroe Falls Library in Stow, Summit County Ohio.

Here, the pages are numbered consecutively from the first page that contains any writing and then one is added to the next page that contains any writing. This makes it easier to present the pages one after the other, although in the actual book some pages were numbered and some were not. Also the book contained a few duplicate page numbers and several blank pages at various places. This means the page number that appears on some of the images will not match the page number given here in the index. The difference is unavoidable.

Index of Surnames Found in the Book.
