New Computer Class Signup Procedure
You no longer have to sign up for computer classes weeks ahead of time!
Instead, we will have numbered tickets for each class at the Adult Information Desk. On the day of the class, starting
one half-hour before class time, the tickets will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis.
Students should have their Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library cards available when they come for
their tickets.
The classroom has eleven seats at computers and an additional three seats without a computer. If all eleven "computer"
tickets are taken, three "non-computer" tickets will go to the next three students. This change is to prevent students from being closed out of classes on the first day of registrations. We hope that
this new system will make it easier for out students to get the classes they want.

Book Picks
September's book pick is The Tin Roof Blowdown by James Lee Burke
It has been two years since Hurricane Katrina, the costliest and one of the deadliest hurricanes in the history of the United States. James Lee Burke’s latest mystery, The Tim Roof Blowdown,
features uptight Cajun detective Dave Robicheaux and uses Katrina-stricken New Orleans as its backdrop. Robicheaux is pursuing the homicide of two young black men from the New Orleans projects,
both shot in the paranoid aftermath of Katrina. Was it just an outraged uptown citizen trying to safeguard property who killed the men, or someone with a more complicated agenda?
Why does the city's most-feared mobster care? And where does the FBI fit into all this? Burke re-creates the storm
and how the city’s most helpless suffered. It's also a postcard of a New Orleans that may never again exist. A must read for mystery fans!

Place a hold on The Tin Roof Blowdown and other James Lee Burke books by going to the library's online catalog at http://opac.smfpl.org.
