The Shelving Services Department has an opening for two (2) part-time Shelving Pages. 

Shelving pages must be able to work “on their feet” for four-hour shifts. Shelving pages must be able to perform their duties in a fast paced environment while maintaining a professional and cheerful attitude. Duties will include: shelving all library materials in all formats, shelf reading, shelf maintenance, shifting of materials, and maintaining the orderly appearance of both floors of the library.

This is not a “seasonal” position and applicants must be flexible with their availability.

Schedule: Evening and weekend hours


Required: Must be at least 16 years of age. Minors ages 16-17 need a work permit. Must have reliable transportation. An email address is required for interdepartmental communication.  Must have the ability to push and pull a loaded book cart of up to 300 lb and to move/lift materials up to 50 lb. Standing, walking, sitting bending and reaching required. May occasionally be exposed to outside weather conditions.
