Are you wild for reading? Then join us for this year’s Summer Reading Program! We have a whole host of activities you can do as a family, and reading is just one of them. Track your books and activities between Tues., June 1 and Sun., August 8 to win prizes and earn chances to enter the grand prize drawing.

Registration for Tails and Tales begins May 1. If you registered for Summer Reading last year, simply log in and update your contact information. Programs and Events

We have many outdoor programs for all ages scheduled this summer, including Story Time at the Stow City Center, a visit from the Akron Zoo, book discussions, and more. Click the buttons below to download a Summer Program brochure, or stop by the library to pick one up.

Adults can read and log books to enter weekly drawings. Log at least five books to be eligible for the grand prize drawing. Choose between $100 worth of gift cards to local businesses (ten cards worth $10 each), or a mini "bundtlet" cake each month for a year from Nothing Bundt Cakes in the Meijer shopping plaza in Stow. Get extra chances to win by logging books every week, submitting reviews, and completing activities.


For every five activities logged, children between birth and age 11 can earn a virtual badge, small prize, and virtual ticket to enter the grand prize drawing. Grand prizes include a Nintendo Switch, Kindle Fire, membership to the Akron Zoo, and more.


Teens ages 12 - 17 can log books and activities to win prizes and enter to win the grand prize of a $75 digital Amazon gift card. Earn a badge for the weekly prize drawings with each book you read. Earn extra chances to win by writing book reviews or completing activities such as biking, making art, attending library events, and more.
