Mark Crilley, author of the three graphic novel series Akiko, Miki Falls, and Brody's Ghost, and the new how-to-draw book Mastering Manga, gave a workshop and hands-on drawing demonstration to library teens. Copies of his Brody's Ghost books were available for purchase, courtesy of The Learned Owl Bookshop, and he signed autographs for his fans.

Teens submitted hand drawn and digitally created art of their favorite anime and video game characters, in our second annual contest. Winners received giftcards to Hobby Lobby for art supplies, courtesy of the Friends of the SMFPL.
