I'm having trouble accessing one of the library's digital services. Where can I get help?

Email Information Services staff at information@smfpl.org.
Call (330) 688-3295 ext. 4 to speak with a librarian.

I don't have a library card. Can I get one?

Yes! You can apply for a Full-Service Library Card online. You will receive email notification when your card is ready to pick up at the library. You will need to provide proof of your current address to receive your card. The library also offers a digital-only library card for permanent Ohio residents who are at least 18 years old. You can get a digital-only card without coming to the library. Click here for more information.

Is the library accepting book donations?

The Friends of the Library can accept good, clean, used books, CDs, DVDs, audiobooks, vinyl albums, sheet music, games, or puzzles at the back door of the library on Donation Days only.  Please do not leave donations at the library or put them in the book drop.

What is the library doing to clean and disinfect the building and materials?

Staff is following health guidelines and disinfecting all frequently touched surfaces.

Should I clean my items when I receive them?

You do not have to clean items.

If you decide to clean items, please do not use disinfectant wipes. They are too harsh for our materials and will cause damage. These items can be wiped down with rubbing alcohol:

  • Hardback books
  • Board books
  • Books with plastic covers
  • CD cases and both sides of the CD
  • DVD cases and both sides of the DVD

Please do not soak materials or get pages wet. Please avoid the barcode when wiping down materials. It makes the barcode unreadable to our scanners.

How can I keep in touch?

Instagram

Twitter
